Bought camera in order to visit family on Skype and for business web conferences. Very good video quality and seems to have good mic pickup. Very easy to set up. Very compact for travel - comes with pouch.

after my built-in isight camera malfunctioned, and not wanted to spend a fortune trying to figure out if i could get it to work or not, i purchased a microsoft vx5000 for my husband's pc which caused all sorts of problems that i won't go into here.

frustrated, i searched for a less expensive alternative for my mac, and figured for 25 bucks i'd try this xbox camera. i just received it, plugged it in, and used it with photobooth immediately. thanks to another reviewer, i was able to make the picture a little crisper by using the focus ring, and we're good to go! next use is for skype...

It is a nice little camera, but there really isn't much of a reason for this on Xbox, there are a few games that support the camera, but to be honest don't get it unless you have other friends that have it because the few games that do use it only use it to put your face in the game or video feed which gets old quick, but if your friends have one then you can video chat with them which can be fun depending on who your chatting with. The camera can also be used on your computer, but just remember the camera has no flash, auto zoom or focus and picture quality is okay at best, but for that price what do you expect.

If you have a mac mini or a Mac pro this is a great buy. I even think the quailty surpasses the isight built into the iMac I upgraded to a Mac Mini after I sold my 2007 iMac to my parents and i was in need of a cam so i looked around and read that this was compatible with any mac with 10.4 or higher, and since the camera has been out for a while you can get this for dirt cheap used I wound up paying 8 bucks for it after i had some left over trade in credit at gamestop. Its compatible with iChat Skype Photobooth and a majorty of Mac progoams even works under Windows and window 7 to.

it depends on how much hard drive you have on your computer..plus it depends how much memory you have in your computer just to even open the program up on your computer..if you have low memory and low hard drive space then you better not do it or you will crash your computer..to check your memory you can easily restart your computer and before anything comes up hit f2 and it should say memory bank if it is like 512 it should work..to check your hard drive space defrag your C drive and it should tell you how much space you have lefted on your hard drive if you have the requirments of the game then it should work

XP came out like 5 years before that camera did. Did you honestly expect it to bundle the driver? Drivers should be available if you tell it to search online. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925384

Probably not, Ive never tried another one other than the Vision Cam, and really, for $40 some dollars (might be cheaper now) its really worth it. Better clarity than I thought it would and some cool features.

It works. It's lots of space for installing games to your hard drive, downloading songs for Rock Band or those little micro-games on XBox Live.

But good gravy, where does Microsoft buy their hard drives? At nearly $1 per gigabyte, this is borderline insane!

Additionally: WATCH OUT for shops that will sell this without the data transfer kit. The kit consists of a cable and a DVD to get your data off your existing hard drive and onto your new one. Otherwise you will lose all of your saved games and have to re-download all of your DLC for Rock Band (and I presume other games). Do not assume that it will come with the kit. In fact, if it doesn't explicitly say it comes with the kit, it probably won't.

To access Xbox Live on another account, you will need to create a new Hotmail address. To access Xbox Live Gold, you must pay for both accounts. Xbox Live Silver is free, but you cannot play online multiplayer, send voice messages, do video chat and a few other things. But I recommend just using one account for online multiplayer and just having the other one as a Silver account.

???? Your whole post just confused me.... I can tell you a way to connect to live but you have to stay next to your pc without buying anything but live memberships. 1st: Get the dsl modem. (little black box connected to the computer to connect to the internet) 2nd: Get the ethernet cord and plug it into the 360. (it is usually a yellow cord just plug that directly into your 360.) 3rd: Plug all the other stuff in (like composite cords(the TV cords) and power plug/ brick.) 4th: Play ***You CANNOT use the usb wifi stick on his 360. It will not work. If you want to connect wirelessly with his 360. You would have to buy a 100 dollar wireless adapter....

OK, the reviews are all very nice but one thing not mentioned so far is that with the XBox Live Gold, you also get access to Netflix Instant Movie/TV Series access (if you have the unlimited netflix account). Others have to pay a $99 fee to activate a Netflix-Ready device but the XBox live gold gives you a code that will activate this on Netflix without that fee!!!
So, this bundle is even MORE valuable than you all thought it was.

This was a great deal... I don't really use the camera but for the cost of what would be a year of Live alone I got the camera and two free games. Can't beat that with a stick.

Side Note: The Camera works on any Windows XP/Vista computer, so it can double as a cheap web cam!

This is an excellent bargain. Not only is it less expensive than just going month to month for the 12 months, but you also get the 2 free games, camera (great for Burnout Paradise!), spare headset, Microsoft Points. Can't ask for much else.

I actually have purchased this same bundle twice, to give a friend the camera so he has one as well. I don't understand why anyone would go month to month versus this. Excellent bargain, should be purchased!
